Cool idea and already some great pics and ideas! The boat bar is quite unique.
We hope to do our family room in a nautical decor when (if) we get our second home built up north.
I get flyers from a couple of companies that supply nautical items- some websites to check out-.....

Alothough I cant see the photos due to my membership I am in the process of making a bar for my basement out of a Sail boat. The sad thing is I am going to cut in half a perfectly good approx 16 ft sial baot and the front haly Will be used as the bar with the drinks being set on the front deck and the midsection and stren will get tipped up on end and will sit behind the bar againts the wall. i will put glass shelves and lighting across the ribs.
I boutght this boat this spring at an auction with these intentions.
If you like this Idea and are not inclinded to do this yourself My freind that is helping me could do this for you. He is a very skilled carpenter. And we dont live far from you.
See you on the slopes

I think I would enjoy cutting a sailboat in half, LOL I love your idea, I'm glad somebody has up for a good use for a sail boat.

I feel kind of bad about this sail baot because It was home made and it looks real nice. The top side is all varnish. I think the guy made it in the seventies so it also has some character (digs etc...) I am sure the guy would cry some serious tears if he saw me and my skill saw at work.
Oh well, my thought is it will get more use and probably last longer as my bar in my basement. Its going to be SWEET!
I think I aslo have figured out how to connect an old throttle up to dispense beer from a keg fridge.

Here's another boat put to good use.
If you want some REAL nautical chit, the China Sea Trading Co in Fells Point, Baltimore has it all. At least they did the last time I was there-- it's been a few years.
