95 Baja 272 value problems to look for?
Hello,I think I might have found what I'm looking for. What's the low high price in todays market for a 95 Baja 272 with a 330/454,trim tabs,in reasonably nice condition? Are there any specific problems to look for in this boat? Boat has only been in Fresh Water. Thanks

With a 330hp, it will never break 60mph. As far as value, I would say low 20's in good shape with a trailer. Mid 90's Bajas have a lot of wood in the interior. Check for rot.

Look at bulkhead supports on either side of rear seat, in the open part of the hull between r seat and outside of hull. You can see it from engine box looking foward. Those bulkheads like to become de-laminated and detach from hull.

I know of two Bajas on trailers right here in Ft. lauderdale that are seriously for sale and are immaculate. One is a 29' Outlaw and the other is a 302 Boss. Both have 7.4L Bravo packages. The 302 has never been in salt water and just arrived here from Arizona. The Outlaw looks like it's never been used! Call me if you have any interest. (954) 895-4633.

Check out the hull to deck joint on both sides. Most of the ones I looked at in the mid-90's year range had a bunch of poor factory repairs above/below the rubrail at this joint. Make sure the drop down seats in the Aero bolsters operate properly. I've seen many that won't lock back up into place due to the brackets being bent from use/age. They also have a tendency to strip the screws out that hold the bolster bases to the cockpit floor. Look closely around the windshield to make sure it is still securely mounted to the deck.

Nada has book values on them. Like always it's what you're willing to pay and what they need to get. It is one of the best boat for dollar values going, that's why I have one.
