True.. Intercoolers currently would help you a bit, but with your existing cubes you could probably benefit from the bigger blowers with intercoolers.. That said the above idea seems to be pretty good..

We dont do used or trades, but if we can be of service let me know. We sell & install Whipple & Blowershop units as well Procharger.. Good luck in your quest for more power.. Jamie / Lakeside

You don't list centerlines but my guess is with those other specs it's got to be in the 112-or-so ballpark. That should be plenty of cam- maybe too much but not overkill. It's somewhat bigger than the 741 cam which would probably be ideal for the rest of the components. Before I started buying and swapping parts, I'd want to know why it isn't adding up.

Swap to Dart 355CNC heads and solid roller..up rpm to ~6200 and you will make close to 1000hp. Those Merlin heads are not much better than stock...will pick up way more with the above heads than bigger blowers, etc will give you.

These heads in combo with the right cam will make
huge power.

Carl Fontz has got some serious CNC programs.
I dont like the size of the blower your using eithier.
The merlin heads are holding ya back.

If you intercool and go with the Fontz heads and get a
cam to match that combo.
You will make 1000 all day long!

I looked these cams up in a Crane online catalog. The duration is 240/248 @.050 and 621/632 lift on 112 lobe centers. Might be enough lift but not enough duration for blower motors, and in the Crane advertisement they call these rough idle cams for 396-454 cubic inch engines for street use on single or multiple carburetors. One thing is for sure, you have had many other reccomendations, and with any of the reccomendations that have been made, you will have to have more camshaft than you currently have to optimize the horsepower, because the camshafts you have are for optimizing a naturally aspirated engine.

- Intercoolers
- Go to Twin Carbs thus new intakes
- More Boost.

More Fuel, More Boost and be nice to them, not to long at WOT... Tick,Tick, Tick... like anything else above 1000HP
