We're getting closer to the end of this rigging project. However,the vent and discharge line bungs have not been installed. As said previously,the present plan is to locate the bungs far forward on the inside of the sponson,as high as possible.
Distance from Ballast Tank to Bung is lesser to top of the tunnel,opposed to side of sponson. However,concern is for pressure shock to valving and hoses. During an event of the bow/tunnel slapping the water it would seem more force may be received by a bung mounted in the top of the tunnel vs. on the side of the sponson.
As always, comments are appreciated.
