To me, this site has never been about the "OSO Cigarette" or the ads and marketing cleverly woven into the screens. Rather it was and is about the member contributors, without whom there would simply be an Internet address with no visitors. Most of the topics, stories, controversies were not started by OSO, but simply hosted here. This is a conglomeration of the best and worst that performance powerboating has to offer. We have some gifted writers and knowledgeable people who take the time out of their busy lives to try and provide knowledge, entertainment and guidance to other boaters without any compensation. To me, that's what made this site great and successful. Certainly pulling this all together was no easy task but, again, without that valuable content, what did you have?

So here's to Steve. May he have a restful and successful future and here's to the posters who filled the book........

+1

...and to those that do not like what this site might turn into with IB running it...there are other offshore style boating websites. But like T2X said I am here because of the people on this board and not the look of the board or it's advertisments and so forth.

Too early to be getting worried about what may happen here in the future. Besides, what can I do to change it?

So with that, I will sit back and watch, and hope for the best.

...and another big thanks to Steve for the last several years.

For those who think it will stay the same all i can say is that never happens Not that it will be bad but it will change

Any time a new person or company comes along things change it is the nature of the beast

All we can hope is that the changes are good ones and the spirit of which this site was built on remains the same

With new ownership comes new ideas and philosophies It is there company to do with as they please

If we wanted any real say we should have bought it ourselves
(I couldnt I am broke

I think change is good once in a while, but then again what do I know
I thought Chief Powerboats was a good Idea and where are they now?? LOL

And for the new owners;
If you are starting a list of potential troublemakers
Go ahead and start with Stez since he will get on list eventually

Good luck Steve on what ever is next for you
