Not trying to rain on your parade ST, but I'm assuming since you are looking at a cat that you have done some research on insurance. If you haven't, you may want to look into that prior to financing. It may alter your course in boat shopping. A cat and anything 500hp or above is going to make a significant difference in insurance premiums, if you can find someone to write it at all.

There is a boat out west that may work for you and it's
exactly $115,000 and it'll go about 105 mph every day and
will go 100 mph full of gas and 6 adults!
It's a 2005 Conquest Top Cat II 28' deckboat with about 50
hours on it and still looks new. Paul Pfaff built the 557 inch
91 octane burning quad rotored/EFI beast and it dynoed at
988 on junk fuel. It's set up with hardly any boost and has
an XR drive. Current owner wanted it reliable and fast.
Pfaff gets as much as 1400 hp out of these same engines
with different pulleys and a differenet fuel map. Every option
including a $7500 cd sound system, full hydraulic steering,
ITS box, washdown system, triple axle disc brake trailer, Livorsi IMCO etc etc etc.
I know that most don't think of deckboats going 100 mph
but they do and do it well. Let me know if you want any additional info and /or photos or the owners name and phone number.

I would bet that if you offered the bank 115 for that boat or maybe less they would take it, then that would leave you a couple thousand for shipping.
