Don't have one yet the ones I've found have been rough. Did you sell yours to a guy named Don? I talked to him sounds like his is in perfect shape. It's a little more than I want to spend on one though.

I will say this and have talked about it here before, I loved everything about the boat but the drives, I have over 2000hrs behind the wheel of a boat and never broke a drive before the P29 or since. I have had Outboards, Alpha drives, lots of Bravos, and Now #5 drives. I wouldn't say I beat on my stuff but I run hard. The Blackhawks blew so much I had spare drives half way into the first season, in a season and a half I owned it I spent over 20k repairing drives. The parts were getting hard to find in the late 90's so unless somebody is making them it's going to be hard, bravos gears work but it's the shafts that twist too and they are shorter than the bravo. When I sold the boat I put my spare drive's up for sale and they sold in under an hour to a guy with a Donzi Blackhawk, he said he gets 10-15 hours out of them. The way I look at it if they were a good drive they would still make them.

And I traded mine in on a 42 Sonic to Full Tilt Marine in VA. The story go's that Tyme & Tide marine in Va. the local Wellcraft dealer ordered 2 P29's they got the #'s 28 & 29 but 29 had some paint problems and was sent back but was totaled in an acident on the way so #28 mine was the last one. I got it a year old with 7 hours on it for 58k if that means anything to you.
