1965 T-5(not the trans) Mustang???
I Know this has nothing to do with boating, But i figured y'all might know sopmething. Supposedly an export to American troops in germany. I have an Opportunity to buy one at a decent price, and wondering if anyone has details??? How collectible is this car??

I have a book on mustangs that says the T-5 name was used because Mustang was already trademarked in Germany as you said. the book doesn't mention it being anymore collectible than a comparable Mustang, but it's more of a historical database book, not a valuation book. good luck.

http://www.mustangmonthly.com/featur...iew/index.html Heres you a little something to read up on. Apparently when the first gen Mustangs came out they couldn't use the term Mustang in Germany so instead, all the Stang's they sent over there were called the Ford T-5 instead. All the Mustang badges, emblems etc had to be changed to Ford and T-5 emblems, even the owners manuals couldn't read Mustang. I am a huge Mustang fand and have owned a total of 9 so far and never heard of this so once you posted you got me wondering so I did a little research. Thanks for bringing this up and hopefully that link helps you out. I would say its got a decent collection value to it. If you get it and do a full resto on it make sure you keep with all the original Ford and T-5 emblems. Good luck to ya!
