Black smoke what can you tell us about the Yanmar 6LP that came from the Toyota Landcruiser?

Which one? The 6LP-D series which is the 12 valve model based on the Toyota HD engine or the 6LP-S series which is the 24 valve model based on the Toyota HD-FTE engine.

Those are the ones I have in my boat, I actually learned how to adjust the aneroid from an Australian Landcruiser forum

Awesome boat, I wasn't thereat LOTO to see it run, but I love diesel power boats. IF I get another big v-bottom it will diesel powered with your drives on the back. Just lower the lift in the back yard, and off to the Bahamas we go... Actually if I win the lotto, it would probobly be Pepe Le' Pew

65-70 mph , I had a 32 hustler whit 2 320hp Cummins mercruiser engines and xr drives that did 72 mph
