There's a company in Kelowna British Columbia who builds boat lifts . Remember them saying they build a lot for the US market . Ours is a manual model to 5000 lbs I think , with four legs spread apart for support . The nice thing about it , it's portable . The larger boat models are powered .
19' jetboat on the lift
For a large boat I'd prefer this type

I think OSO member Superbabi has an elevator lift for his 30' Superboat Y2K. You may want to reach out for him.
I've noticed the elevator lift is popular where docking parallel in a channel, piling restrictions and lack of space are the issues.

Legs are adjustable for height.
If you are on a lake that rises or falls during the season you lash a 45 gallon drum to it and float it off bottom a couple of inches and walk it to where you want it or adjust legs.
Comes with a remote you keep in boat so you can "park" it just above waterline in case someone comes to visit while you away from dock with your boat.
But you see what I mean when you look at some of the posted pics.....too much mechanical stuff showing above water.
With this ...all you see is boat..or..nothing.
For 23 ft runabout $6000 2 hydraulic rams
For 30 ft go fast $12000 4 rams
For 43 ft Cat $ 24000 6 rams
If you could weld aluminum and could find rams that could stand being permanently under water and could figure out the engineering from some pics I cant see it being more than 10 k to build it yourself.
But I dont weld .....so just order it.
They are from Seattle...dealer in Ontario very nice people.
Came to house to make sure it would work in my location...
very service oriented.

looks like a pretty good idea,I bet its cheaper than the side elevator style lift.I wonder how the rams hole up in the water,Wouldnt barnacals stick to it

They went on and on about the fact that they have proven reliability regarding the hydraulic rams. The guts and rams are not standard materials but are made out of whatever will stand up to being constantly submerged in both fresh and salt water.
They use special oil in them that doesnt hurt the environment
