Lake Hartwell OSOer's
How' the lake level these days? We are coming up this weekend to Greenville SC for part of my daughter's spring break to visit HQ's family. I'm toying with the idea of dragging our little Seadoo Jet boat up to check out the lake. A guy I work with , was there 2 weeks ago, and he said it was real low!
Any info would be great, probobly will determine whether or not I drag the boat.
Dean
PS i wonder what the weather forcast is for the weekend, I need to check.

I drove by there Monday and it is still low but coming up. Spoke to a buddy that lives there and I believe he said they are five feet down right now.
There is still plenty of water to go boating and I hear that they have made some much needed improvements at Portman Marina at the launch ramp.

dock,
Thanks for the info. Is the Portman Marina launch ramp the only ramp that's usable now?
thanks,
Dean

I'm sure SteelOutlawed with chime in with better info. I have only launched at Portman but we plan to try the ramp at Hartwell Marina next trip down since we overnight there. It has good water and I would say you could use it now also.
As mentioned it is a very deep lake just watch out for those little white sticks.

Oh yeah a lot deeper in the main channel. There are many shallow spots but it is a deep lake. You will not find more then 115 feet on Norman and that is by the dam. You are usually in 30 to 50 feet on Norman on average. You are usually in 100+ on Hartwell.
