To be really subjective, check out Powerboat Magazine's top ten Poker Run List.

My personal top 3 that I have attended are:

PRA 1000 Islands
NJPPC Atlantic City Run
FPC Miami Boat Show Run

I also have enjoyed:

NJPPC Roar at the Shore
NJPPC Barnegat Bay Poker Run
PRA Sarasota Runs (Spring and Fall)
New York City Poker Run

I would say it also depends on what kind of boat you have and what speed it runs as to what runs you should participate in.

Doc, I heard that the Thunder on Lake Run at LOTO was not anything to write home about. If MidwestBoatParty does another Poker Run at LOTO, you may want to give it a try. It was great event last year. Probably the most fun and well organized PR I have been on.

Just wondering what you didn't like about the Cumberland run? I met you there a few years back down at Grider Hill. That is my home away from home and there is nothing wrong with constructive criticism.

I am surprised that more of you didn't mention the NYC Poker Run. Especially the guys that mentioned the other ones in the area. I have never done any of them and thought the NYC Run would be a great start. Am I wrong?

I'm still new the poker runs. My first was 06 Boyne Thunder in Lake Michigan and every year since then. Last summer stumbled on one From Put In Bay in Lake Erie. So I don't have a lot of experience to say that there is a "must attend" or a "must stay away". At this time I'd say it's like a Bl@# Job. No such thing as a bad one, some may be better then others. Have fun no matter what one ya attend.

I did not enjoy this run....compared to 1000 Islands, Alexandria Bay, Jammin' on the James, and several FL poker runs it lacks almost everything. The positive thing about the NY run is Manhatten and some serious hardware...but the run is short, dirty water and boring scenery(except for the start-NY skyline)....Not a good 1st pr in my opinion.
The best all-around poker run I have attended is Jammin on the James...
1000Islands and Alexandria Bay offer the nicest water and waterfront property.....
The type of boat factors heavily in the fun factor and the size of the water....
