What's a 1075 Merc run ($) these days? This is pretty incredible, but that's some major dime to be putting in back of a boat like that. I mean - that's some SERIOUS "sh*its and giggles" on the lake...but was it a one-off project...built from bits 'n pieces...or what was the owner's original intention? Would be interested to know what they were aiming at. Love the "AUS 1" on the side, though. I'm sure...

These boats are built for ski racing. Over 100 mph skiing is very common. This sports is making a comeback. These are not one off's these are standards.

These guys are full blown race boats, definitely not a through together, the top of the line boats would be running close to 200k build cost, i.e no joke.

Here is a video of one running a 4.5L Twin turbo Nissan V8

here is another with the skiers, you get to see how windy it actually is, this boat would be running around 100mph maybe a little over on the straights

Used to speed ski when I lived in Oregon. Crashed at just over 100 once. Knocked me out cold. Am still sure I hold the record for stone skipping.

A quote from the movie space balls comes immediately to mind.

"Ludicrous Speed!"
