Rough water? These guys race from Long Beach to Catalina and back. I think they know what rough water is.

I agree, I was was just trying to show how they mount in relation to the transom, i.e on the horizontal plan and elevated from the hull bottom, the blue boat is the first of the big HP boats, the red/white boat (with tweaked tab) is the latest model, evolution in progress!

I used to speed ski on the west coast, Oregon/Washington in the rivers and resevoirs and know what the Catalina race is like, no way I wanted to do it. I was kidding about the vids on this post with the glass water they were showing in New Zealand.

Have they done any testing to determine handling? Intrigues the heck out of me and would seem to make sense for smoother transitions.
