Here you go

New Mercury Racing 1050 SCi Sterndrive
--Smooth. Smart. Fast.
--Features State-of-the-Art SmartCraftTM CAN Electronic Control System
--Uncompromised Smooth Idle
--New Low-Profile Twin-Screw Super Charger and Fuel Injection

Fond du Lac, WI – Smooth. Smart. Fast. Those are just three of the words that describe the all new Mercury Racing 1050 SCi sterndrive engine package – the latest innovation to come from the world leaders in advanced marine propulsion systems. The engine is all-new, from the 557 cubic inch cylinder block to the state-of-the-art SmartCraftTM Controller Area Network (CAN) system.
The 1050 SCi features a pair of Lysholm twin-screw super chargers with multiport and throttle body fuel injection. This combination provides sport boaters with turn-key starting, great overall running quality and incredibly smooth idle quality for a high horsepower big block. Additionally, shifting into and out of gear is smooth as silk, making docking much easier with less chance of stalling and other low-RPM drawbacks normally associated with big horsepower. The engine idles on eight multiport fuel injectors, with the four secondary throttle body injectors activating when the engine reaches 70% load.
The twin-screw, Lysholm super chargers require less power than traditional roots blowers. The low-profile design helps to reduce overall engine height and center of gravity. In fact, the 1050 SCi is 18” shorter than the HP900 SC Dry-Sump, allowing OEM boat builders to replace air scoops for sun pads. Super charger boost is variable. An electronic boost bypass control valve, electronically activated by the Mercury exclusive

Propulsion Control Module (PCM) 555 microprocessor, continuously monitors the
amount of boost needed to provide 1000 propshaft horsepower consistent in any
condition or environment. Under optimum barometric conditions, the boost bypass control valve is open – with less boost needed to obtain 1000 horsepower. The PCM 555 controller closes the bypass control valve, requiring higher boost to maintain a consistent 1000 horsepower, when operating in sub-optimal running conditions and high altitude environments. The 1050 SCi’s ability to provide a consistent 1000 horsepower in any condition or locale eliminates the hassle of re-propping the boat to match conditions.
The PCM 555 or “triple nickel” computer also enables synchronized spark plug firing. This ability to optimize fuel, spark timing and knock control independently for each cylinder enhances engine running quality and performance. The use of eight independent ignition coils, one per cylinder, eliminates spark plug fouling.
The 1050 SCi comes equipped with the digital SmartCraft Controller Area Network (CAN) system, a network of sensors that proactively monitor engine functions. The CAN enables the PCM 555 to communicate data to optional SmartCraft SC5000 System View and System Link gauges for real-time data on multiple engine and boat functions.
The SC5000 System View Monitor and accessory System Tachometer calculate fuel flow and range. Additionally, both drive optional single-function analog style
System Link gauges.
Similar to the Mercury Racing Super Cat and Super V offshore race engines, the
new 1050 SCi features a dry-sump lubrication system. Three scavenge pumps
and one pressure pump keep oil off the crankshaft, reducing friction for enhanced
power and performance. The dry-sump system works in concert with a custom fabricated steel oil pan designed by Mercury Racing.
A remote oil tank separates air from the oil and gives it time to settle, providing
the pressure pump with a constant supply of oil. The oil tank also reduces foaming, improving overall oil lubrication, even in the most adverse sea conditions.

New stainless steel head gaskets, featuring multiple layers, provide improved sealing, enhancing engine durability.
An all-new cooling system features a triple-stage pump. One stage feeds the transmission cooler and one bank of cylinders while a second stage feeds the engine oil cooler and second bank of engine cylinders. The third stage feeds the super charger intercooler and cools the headers.
A custom power steering pump reservoir, designed by Mercury Racing, also features built-in cooling and a fluid level site tube for enhanced reliability.
The high-output, 65-amp alternator provides increased power at idle and full power. The increased charging capacity makes running a variety of electronic accessories worry-free.
The 1050 SCi is built from the bare block to completion in Mercury Racing's four-cycle Race Shop. Engine packages come standard with the Mercury Racing Dry-Sump Six drive.

Seriously nice piece of hardware, but there's an awful lot of other folks out there building big power for less $$. 'Course, it does come with the #6 drive...
