I saw that before, it really doesn't look like the Yamaha had a chance. HHMMM to make it fair maybe they should have let a Yamaha rep drive, looks like the eve get full throttle but the yam only about a third, you don't even see prop turbulence???

Silly advertising. Assuming the test was fair,does that mean I should by a 2-stroke E-Tech instead of a 4-stroke Yamaha? I don't thihk so.Carl K. did this same test in the late 50's when Evinrude claimed their new V-4 would outpull the inline 6 Merc.He sunk the Evinrude way back then,but he never showed the prop they used At least Bombardier is trying,I give them credit for that,but they bet the farm on their new 2 strokes. It better work,or only Merc will be left to fight the Japanese outboards.
