nice video and very fast in flat lake water .
but you never see any of these boat's running in any rough ocean water going anywhere near that speed

Correct but you also have OL's running 30-40 MPH faster than similar old school boats powered by MORE HP!

A 47 GTX w/twin 1200's runs 125-127-130?
A 47 Apache w/triple 1000's runs 90-100?

A 41 SL w/700's runs 110+?
A 41 Apache w/850's runs 90?

I think the specs are a lot closer per build today than back 25 years ago (many same length Apaches weigh different amounts, whereas most same length new boats weigh closely).

I probably shouldnt post but the 41SL with stock 700's ran 114mph. Full cabin boat as well.

But you cant compare old school setups to new ones because props were totally different and drive heights were not the same.
