This was us running our Cigarette in Miami to Key West
Not a new boat but not an old resin bucket either
Watch us cut through the water at the :40 mark it was snoty that day on the ocean Boat cut right through it

By the way notice i was the only one not wearing his life jacket. I would NEVER do that again, soon after this i started to realize the importace of wearing a life jacket any time you are on plane at an event

Stupid question, but how come we never see video of the modern boats running fast in big water? Every time I am searching for rough water vids on youtube or OSO all I find are Apache vids. Is it a handling issue with modern boats? If you tried that in a twin step cig or a quad step OL would you find yourself upside down?

There are very few TRUE offshore races anymore that are covered with major video and commentary thus hard to find the great footage like we used to see There is still some recent cool stuff out there but you have to dig deep and usually does not have good commentary to go with it
BRING BACK OFFSHORE and BRING BACK RICH LUHRS
Nothing like back in the day Racing

Running with Pat makes the waves look small. I been out there with him in 6-8', 3-5', and 4-6 and all variations of sun and storm (call me the crazy canuck). When I come down for boating, we go boating. Go Active Thunder !
