Hey guys thanks for checking on us. We left Lake Charles at 7:30 pm Saturday for B'Ham to come see our daughter in college here and evacuate. Got into town at 4:30 am, left the dogs at a kennel and checked into the Doubletree. Watching and waiting now.

Had to leave Thunderstruck in Lake Charles, but what the heck it IS an Active Thunder, right Sydwayz???

Default Gustav

This one is pushing a ton of water.
Here on Marco Island the water crested over the seawalls all over the Island at high tide today...That did not happen with Wilma, Charlie, or any other storm since I moved here.
Be safe everyone!!!!

Godspeed to everyone, including our friends Jeff, Sandy, Tom, Leslie, Vu, and beyond. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Some may remember, but there were a couple of board members who were killed in a bad car accident while fleeing hurricane Rita (IIRC).

I've got room for at least one inside here in Virginia, maybe two if pressed. All you need to do is holler.

Please stay safe down there...I left the Lakefront area without thinking twice.

Looters suck. Having the national guard housed in your apartment without your knowledge was even worse.

My parents decided to ride it out in Baton Rouge with my brothers in-laws.
Looks like Gustav is weakening and they want to get back to the house as soon as the water goes down. They were worried about not being able to get back in after the storm. Good luck to everyone.
