** OuterLimits Report **
Dean, 32fever, others:
Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but here goes.
I did not see the boat and therefore I was unable to obtain additional photos. They had moved the boat to somewhere in Tampa so that nobody would be looking at it too closely. I did, however, get a chance to ask around and get feedback from a few individuals who were knowledgable regarding this boat. Bottom line: You don't want this boat unless you know upfront that there will be a lot of work involved. It would have to be one hell of a deal. The boat, in simple terms, was used and abused and was maintained like a long-distance relationship. It was rarely, if ever, kept under full cover, and had the hot Florida sun beating down on it for years. The boat had also been filled up with water multiple times and the depth was quoted in feet, not inches. In the words of the operations supervisor and current marina manager he "Would not allow anybody he considered a friend buy that boat." It was basically, run until it broke...fixed...then run until it broke again...

Thanks Nick!!!!!
I got more pics on it and well, one thing I noticed is the steering wheel looks like it was what the mechanics used to wipe their hands off after working an 8 hour day Other than that, it didn't look too bad from the pics. My wife wasn't really keen on it. I see it has been bid up to $125k now, which, if it needs all that work, probably isn't that good of a deal anymore (it's a 1997). I know of others for sale for more, but have trailers, too and would probably be a much better deal to just turn the key and run.
But thanks again Bajadaze....hmmmm, I wonder who will wind up with it. If it's an OSO member, they'll have to fill us in.
