A cleaning and a wax is a must ONCE a year, not more in my opinion. My boat remains spotless if CLEANED correctly before a good wax to protect.

I DID PERSONALLY FALL off the boat from the bow to the ground one day when I had the boat home from the marina, long drop at my age, even then, I am not sure if it was the wax or Vodka, likely a combination, so I do mine at winterize time and a light shine in the spring.

The secret to not falling is dry feet and no water or towels on the deck.

My wife bought some little slippers with sticky rubber pads on the sole. They work great and she quit yelling at me for having such a slippery deck!

How about busting your azz and head slipping on a waxed swim platform?! That's right, my buddy waxed the non-skid on his swim platform. I went to step down from the cocpit onto the platform (which was wet from coming off plane) and my foot hit it and off I shot into the water. Hit my head so hard on the platform on the way in I saw stars. Would have drowned had it knocked me out. He got a big time cussing when I got back on board.

Better yet - I have a friend with a PowerQuest that has the integral swim platform and non skid wrapped - the whole boat is a wrap - that's one slippery mofo when wet.....
