last year I dug up a a small hatch my friend had lost overboard earlier in the year... it does really suprise me that theres not really a lot of junk on the bottom...thugh down a bit deeper in the mud is probably a few bodies and a few guns etc.... this area has a major organized crime history from the prohibition days, a llot of booze came her from canada.

I just heard on the news this morning that the MV JIIMAAN Ferry out of Leamington, ON. could not pick up the Pheasant Hunters on Pelee Island due to the high winds, making it dangerous to try and dock.

Lake Mead is only down 90' ... !
I was always amazed at the water levels near the end of the season there. It made for an interesting drive along the lake when this happened.
According to some information I have read in an undisclosed resource, years ago there was a gambling boat that burned and sank along the shore and the slot machines, coins, and cash went down with the boat and are still buried in the mud. Anyone have a big metal detector...?

Wow! It's down a little below normal here. About 30' of my 80' dock was on dry land. Does make it easier to pull the dock out for the winter though.
