Exactly... T&A is worth it! Last week I received a Car & Driver offer of $8 for 12 issues and Powerboat can be had for <$29. A fledgling mag charging $49 for a mere 4 issues is facing an uphill battle.

You must be on the corporate price plan.

I subscribed to EBM in Jan. of 2008. Started off good. Received 4 issues then nothing. I also ordered a back issue in Nov. 2008 and to this day still haven't received it yet. (Mar. 2009). They took the $8.00 from my Paypal account. Which isn't a big deal, it is just the principal. I emailed them and they emailed back saying it would take 7-9 days. This was back in Jan. I've emailed them recently and have not received a response. They still owe me issues from my subscription. All they did was take my money. Anyone else have this problem. If anyone from EBM is reading this. You are a thief!

Same thing happen to me with EBM and Hotboat. I stopped paying for subscription because of it. I just go to Barnes and Noble and have a coffee and read them for free.

I'd be pissed too if I paid $50 for a sub and recieved so few mags.

However, on the front page of the site it says "As everyone has noticed by now, it's tough going in the industry - and across the nation. But, we are determined to maintain our quality leadership in the industry. In order to lighten the load on everyone, we are going to reduce the # of issues we produce thru the 2009 year. As things pick up after that, we will increase the number of issues per year. If you subscribed for 10 or 20 issues, you will receive that # of issues - but over a longer period of time. "

So, they aren't trying to screw everyone it seems, but that is only if the quarterly issues do come out.

I too sent them a check (which they deposited) and NEVER received ANY issues. EBM you are a thief. How is this for the power of the internet: Note to potential advertiser's-----before you do this, think about all the current to potential customers being ripped off from this magazine.

Not to present a problem without a solution, here it is.
EBM-------Return all monies received for issues not sent to those "pre-payment" customers. At that point, start with a clean slate and market your magazine the correct way, without any skeltons in the closet. I am NOT accepting "our records show we owe you 12 issues, so we will send you the next 12 issues at no charge". Pony up the refund monies first, and then I will decide if I wish to be included as an EBM customer.
