I have a 1990 F350 460 hog and was going to upgrade in 2 years to a 2000, 01,02 ish F350 Dually 4x4 PSD. How do they drive?
What mileage on the diesel? towing and non?
boat is 10 thou lbs
Nice truck Cig, I think Ford has taken over the market on biggie pickups style and looks wise and that PSD gets nothing but awesome comments for everything you do with a pickup
Nice ride man

God
I get 9 mpg daily suburb driving
3mpg towing
and the ***** of it is, this 460 needs High test so she wont ping her ass off under tow
Normal non towing driving regular gas is fine
Geez, this is my daily driver too (Trans am is getting to radical to drive on street anymore and dont want to rack up miles on TA)
260 miles for 2 full tanks (primary and aux tanks)
Hell Maybe I should get out of my truck sooner and instead of paying a few hundred a month in fuel, spend a few hundred a month on truck payment............
Now to talk to soon to be wife
ahhhh, maybe not
she might chop off the ding ding if ya know what I mean

Thanks for the kind words. It drives like an 11,500 pound sports car! It has the “Camper Package” that includes beefier front springs and a rear sway bar, so it’s a little stiffer then some.
Brian, it was at Universal Ford here in Richmond, but I think it was an ’02..
For the liner, I went shopping today and think I will put a hard shell or tonneau cover on the back. If I do that I may just put some sort of mat in the back. I do not haul anything in the bed, so I don’t need a great deal of protection. Might even carpet it..
GottaHaveIt – the sticker says “4 Speed Electric Automatic”..

cignificant,
I have had both... shells & hard tonneau covers. Looks is great with the tonneau, but severly limits anything you may "tote" from one place to another. I cannot put a portable generator under my tonneau, I regret getting it. There are also now good looking shells that have skirts to cover all the vinyl trim on the beds & they look great too. The Line-X spray in liner is great also. Minumum cost & if you chose to put carpet in the bed, the bed will not rust if Line-X is installed. Much better than the plastic liners.
Whichever way you go, find a seal kit called "dry-gate". No matter which cover you select, water WILL get in the bed unless you use "dry-gate" to seal the tailgate openings. It only cost me $20.00 on my supercrew. I also am having to start thinking of a bigger truck as I just bought a 312 Formula 10,500#. My max tow weight now is 7700#.
Since I do minimum towing anyway I am thinking of a F250/350 with the V10 4x4 & using a Gear Vendors over/underdrive unit for better gas mileage. Yours is a great looking rig. Hope I can do as well.

Can I join the club with my F-450? It basically looks the same. It is just a little longer and has 19.5" wheels instead of the 16.5". I'll post a picture of it with the boat when the boat is completed.
