Default Miami next month, what to do....

Hey guys, I am headed to Miami September 19th thru the 26th for my 30th and I am looking for some advice on what to do wile I am there.... Any suggestions on night clubs, places to check out during the day, Cuban restaurants to eat at ect....

I already have monday night football tickets, gonna do an air boat ride through the glaids, and thats about it so far for plans.

I have a rental car for the week so driving somewhere is no big deal.

Also if anyone is willing I would love to go for a ride on the open ocean with someone here is a couple pics of the wife as a little incentive.... I hope

we travel down once a month. there is something for everyone.
check out boats at the miami beach marina. while you are there go to monties for happy hour. thursday and friday, local people
best steak, Prime 112
outdoor bar, clevlandars
tourist bar: mangos on ocean dr. everyone has to go there at least once.
tourist spots: ocean dr, lincoln road.
most of the clubs are on Washington, mansion is the biggest
shops on Collins.
go to miambeach411.com for local info
more locals on the beach south of fifth.
stop by Smith and Lewinski, good food right on the inlet
if you cant find a boat to go on, we went on a motion 35 a few years ago. They can do an ocean or bay run. Speeds around 95mph. not sure of the name of the company. I think they were out of the deerfeild area. they can come to you, but if you have a car , it is not to far away.

Are you staying IN South Beach, or in DT Miami? You may not want the rental car in while South Beach. There is NO parking, and the hotels will charge you a fortune to valet it; and most places are walking distance. Cabs are plentiful.

One of the best steak houses in the country.

And a second for Lincoln Road Mall. It's a street closed to car traffic, only foot traffic. There must bee 250 different elegant "beachy" shops, restaurants, and lounges. It comes alive at night.

That Smith and Wollensky is very nice. It has outdoor dining and you can see a sweet sunset over Miami from there.

Stay on Ocean Drive. There are some pretty good rates right now.

Go see the Cigarette factory and check on Jo from Pantera boats.

Orlando, find "Billy's Steakhouse" in Lauderdale. The Reverend Tom, Suz, Nicole & I ate there last November. Best f*cking sea critter food all of us have ever had. So good we have thought about flying in just to go there.
Also, Key West is only 3 hours away by car. Go see Nancy at Salsa Loco. She'll take you out on the town for a true KW experience, she also has the best Mexican food on the planet!
The drive down is cool too. Stop for a picture at MM69. The Rev & I left our mark there last Nov.
Shooters in Lauderdale is right on the ICW. They have a bikini contest on Friday nights I think & there is usually some nice chunks of fiberglass floating out there.
Have fun! If you don't there is something wrong with you!

I am staying at The Golden Strand Resort at 17901 Collins Ave. Its up north but not to far from what I can tell, I guess it is right next door to the Trump International Beach Resort...

Comp, good looking out on the list! I have heard of a couple of the places on the list so its good to here someone else recomend them.

Jason, wrangle up the crew and get your ass down there, we are celebrating my 30th!!!! It should be a good time, come for a day or stay for a week....

Mmareno, thanks for the compliment, to bad I couldn't convince the wife of that one!!! lol

Nicole & I would be there in a heartbeat! Timing sucks. Too many vacations this year already! We will be in Lauderdale & KW the 8-19 of November. Then back in Jan for a cruise & Feb for the boat show.
I think it would just be easier to move there for the winter.
