Good guess, I sold a 2005 46' with Mercury 1075's and it runs 150mph with 3 people and a load of fuel.

Amazing that such a big boat would run that fast with only 1075s. Do you know its all-up weight(passengers and fuel)? What was the time to plane?

I would like to see someone build a 46 with Gary Collegewood's convertible top. I thought that was a very clever solution to the entry problem.

It had 3 around 200lb men +/- and 3/4 tank of gas. As fair as planning we haven't done a drag starts but it come up on plane with very little bow raise.

I think Gary's boat is very cool, most of the time at Desert Storm he was running around slow with the top up.

Here's a pic of the 46'.
