called a paint supply house today and they recommended two products:
1. Woodgrain and Stripe remover
2. Astro 400E Wheel.
I'm buying both because I'm finally getting around to removing 12 year old vinyl off my aluminum trailer. I've tried heat, ez-off, cussing and nothing is touching this stuff. Will let you know how it goes.

Great ideas. I was gonna say Goof-Off and possibly Acetone (fiberglass cleaner/prep). Works good on rub rails and tar-like scuff marks around the hull...

Peel off the vinyl decal as much as possible. A new single edge razor blade works well. Then use acetone or Goo Gone to remove the left over adhesive. Neither one will harm the gel coat. Rewax after the use of either one.
