Very sad to hear this, he sure sounded like a great guy and so willing to help everyone, it's no doubt he will be missed by family and friends.
I know there have been comments on life vests and kill switches, on top of that perhaps when running at high speeds, especially in smaller boats, helmets would be a good idea. In a race at that speed it would have been required. I know it's a pain to wear all that stuff, but do it for your loved ones.
Rest in peace Don

I just met Don this summer at the cancelled Pirites run. I talked to him for a while about his Krypto project and took him for a ride on my boat. I really enjoyed talking to him as we share the same passoin. This is truley a tragidy and it hits too close to home...I am supposed to take some rides this afternoon and its going to be 20+mph winds...I am cancelling with respect to Don! VERY VERY SORRY.........Rob
