UPDATE
Thanks to everyone who called to check on Ron and Kristen. First and foremost ... they are both fine. It was a little nerve racking at first as Ron's surgery took twice as long as originally anticipated. No one would tell us anything which made the waiting all that much worse!
Kristen was in and out within two, to two and half hours. Her surgery went smoothly and there were no complications. Ron's surgery was supposed to take a similar amount of time. Unfortunately, there were some minor complications with excessive bleeding which caused the surgery to drag on for almost six hours! In the end ... everything turned out fine.
I will let him know that you are all thinking of both of them.
Jeffrey
As of today (May 16th), they are both at home and doing fine......on the road to recovery. Thank you for your support and thoughts.
