That's very cool! What type of camera was used for the video- was it a camera built-in on the RC plane or did you have to rig something up to hold a camera?

I'm with Powerquest, what kind of camera was used?

Can you take a pic of the set up with the camera mounted to the plane for us? Could the camera be mounted on the belly of the plane instead?

Did the cost you posted include a camera or was it separate?

Buck

I was at a GNCC race a couple of years ago an a guy was hovering a helicopter chasing atvs and dirtbikes, while his wife operated the remote 360 degree camera. I am not sure but I think they use the coverage for the tv show.

It's a go pro. Mounted on the exterior of the plane. Kind've bulky but works pretty good.

This is the set up right here:

This right here though is straight bad azz! I can't fly helicopters to save my life though! Way more difficult than RC fixed wing (kind've like actual flying). Imagine this set up at a poker run for fly bys/video shoot. Set the boats to come at a designated course and get them on video. Then you could take stills from the HD Go-Pro and save thousands of dollars as a promoter! The wave of the future!
