Ike, I was just wondering about the weight as I picked up an Wellcraft Excalibur Hawk 40 and they (Wellcraft) say the boat is 8,500# dry 10,500# wet, with the aluminum trailer at 2,300# that puts it at 12,800#....I think that may be on the light side of what the actual weight really is though, Its nice to know I'm not the only one towing a 40'+ boat around,...I am going to take it to the scales and get a actual weight on it, I tow with a Ford F-350 crew-cab dually diesel and didn't seem to tow to bad on its maiden adventure home in Mi. from Ohio, (about 130 miles) how does that 41' Apache tow behind that new Chevy?....Fred

Ike, let us know how it towed when you have the chance, when I brought mine home two Fridays ago the fastest I went was 65 mph (on the freeway), it has tounge-surge brakes that seem to work well just didn't feel too safe towing that much rig any faster....Fred

Boot, I may have to get the chip and exhaust off of you sooner than I thought. I will be running on the chesapeake and delaware river, maybe we will meet at the Nauti Goose or Chesapeake Inn some time.
