Last night I lost the most amazing woman in my life, my mother
Words cannot describe how I feel right now. Our mother was taken away from us suddenly 1 month shy of her 62 bday. She was my crutch, my everything. I already miss her so much.
Racing is in mine and my younger brothers Ryan and Kyle's blood. Our father raced drag boats and hydroplanes. 18yrs ago he was killed in a accident here in our hometown Detroit. I was 18 and my bros were 14 and 10. The hardest thing I ever had to do was look them in the eye at the hospital and tell them dad was not coming home. Yesterday while racing to where my mother was at, I prayed to god I would not have to face them with that ugly reality that our mother has passed. Obviously that was not the case. That was the hardest thing I have ever have done. Somehow we will get thru this, we have a strong close family and many close friends.
Not even sure why I am writing this other then to ask my boating friends to keep my family and I in your thoughts and prayers.
