After spending a ton of time getting my new cat insured for a reasonable amount, I would strongly suggest NOT turning this claim in. One professional I talked to opened up to me and told me after two or three little claims you could be shut out from an insurance company. Suck it up (the cost) and save the insurance for the catastrophic claims. Just my rookie two cents.
