It must have been some performance gain to justify the risk.

Not knowing the rules for the engines, I would think a bit more was out of the range than just a cam and lifters ? Saying this as they always seemed to be way ahead of everyone else in the class all the time

If you don't think teams are bending/breaking the rules all the time your crazy. These guys just aren't very good at hiding it
