I'm sure whoever is buying these boats could give 2 sh!t's less if the boat weighs 11k or 13k.... Especially w/ the performance #'s these OL's are putting on the board!!!!

funny but good point. Your going to 50ft the weight isnt a thought beyond what it is so you can ensure you can tow it. If your thinking is that is weighs 11 so your F250 can pull it your nuts. Something like this you better have a 350 or better

The owners old 51' had a different step design (last boats steps were more shallow) and was a few thousand pounds heavier (this one was epoxy) than the one that just sold and it was roughly 15 mph faster.

doing quick number crunching...if the boat has a dry weight of 11,500 (dans weight number) that would mean it carries 3,000 lbs of wet weight using the aforementioned 14,500 from the website. ehhh these numbers look sketchy to me. that means 20% of the weight is fuel. doubtful.

Are the numbers you guys are quoting the pre-Epoxy models? The Epoxy 51's were roughly 3K lbs less than the older ones and I remember a number of 15K for Billy's OLD 51' so Dan's numbers sound correct.
