If you tow long distances not having triples is huge mistake. I have a double axle manning under my 288 Sunsation and blew a bearing which then destroyed the hub. I was in the middle of nowhere and my boat is WAY too heavy to run with just one tire. I was stuck and my boat is too big to be put on a flatbed so now Im double stuck. 9pm at night on the side of the road in nowhereville with a 1 year old and a sick wife. If I had triples I would have strapped up the axle and drove home. Had to back track a small town and LEAVE my boat with some yahoo. Drive 2 hours home and find out the next day they dont even have the parts in this town to get it fixed. I then had to guess what parts I needed and drive back 2 hours to drop off parts and sit for while they fixed it. I then and towed it home and took it to my mechanic who had to redo everything I paid Cooter from Nowhereville $800 to fix. It was a nightmare and it cost me a fortune. So if you ask me, I'll take triples everyday of the week and twice on sunday.
