LSx engines are great. I hope to put a couple in my next boat.

Your boat gives me goosebumps. Love it.

Been following your build thread for awhile....but it is still the only sterndrive performance boat that I know of with LSx power. Nobody else in this thread has been able to point to any others.

I think I've read it before, but can you give a quick run down on your set up?

Cubic inches, compresion, exhaust mainifolds? Factory ECM, or aftermarket?

Bunch of aluminum jetboats have been built with them and there is a marathon riverboat race class for that motor exclusively (CX)

Yeah, I'm aware of the welded jet boats both here and in Australia (and those pics you posted are wicked!....but what's with sneaking BBC pics in there?? haha), and they are starting to pop up in fiberglass flat bottom jets....but I'm referring to bigger sterndrive powerboats....Cigarettes, Active Thunders, Sunsations, Fountains, Skaters, Bajas.......hell I'd even love to see one in a sleeper Gheyliner

Kodiak has their **** together with LS motors in aluminum jet boats. That's who I bought my flywheel to pump driveline from for my LS jet boat...nobody else offered anything off the shelf.

Long live the BIG BLOCK CHEVY's with SUPERCHARGERS!!!!!!! Jeff I'm just bustin balls here. I've seen and heard Jeffs rig and it is flat out Way Cool and sounds Awesome!!

Jeff's boat is probably the most innovative jet boat I have seen.

I would say that the LS engines are just not worth switching to for Merc since what they have has worked. If they were not working on something else, I think you would have already seen a Merc/GM LS Marine engine.

Look at the long block they engineered for the 1350. You can't tell me that after creating that monster that they are going to look at moving to LS engines.

I know from somone involved in Merc "black" engines, that the BBC pushrod engines are going away. If they weren't, it wouldn't be so hard to find new 7.4/8.2 blocks. Even Volvo is looking at options for 8.2 replacements with large contract builders.

Stay tuned...
