Well the rain held us back Saturday and Sunday, so no testing. Hopefully today.
I hear you Joe, but I am hoping that we can knock this piss out of the slip. I have heard that we will pick up anywhere from 400-500 rpms from the 1:50 gears over the 1:36. We were spining the non labbed 32 at about 4900 rpms and the props were not the cleanest, so I think we may have been loosing 100 or so RPMs.
I talked with Herring on Friday and the felt that the 32 was the best place to start.

We ran both lab, and no lab on the 1:36's. With non labbed 30 5250 rpms, labbed all over the boxes, non labbed 32 4900, labbed 32 at 5000.
This prop/gear/spacer testing is a long process as I am learning....

for the record
as far as the 88mph for stock. thats what I was told, by numerous people including chip fendt, and I am spinning to the moon with 30p at about 5600 rpm I would like to try some five blades or 32p four blades maybe get a better cruise speed.

We got 97 with the 1:5 gears and herring 32-5 blade props, but could only make one pass until we blew an impellor. We are guessing that we sucked up a bag. So we are back in the shop changing out the impellor and going back to do a bit more testing....stay tuned....Oh yeah, and Pat said the boat handled like it was on rails at that speed.

Anyone ever check to see what a 600sc really makes on the dyno? I've always been curious as to if they are making more. Thunderdan...good luck with your quest to join the Triple digit club. I'm a cat guy so I don't know your hull that well, but I think you'll get there.

For those of you who PM me, when we get our best speed, I will post a picture of the GPS for you all to see.

I must have missed something Catman, but it is OK. I am used to it. I have gotten 3 pm from people today doubting me. I do have on thing to say to you 3, bite me. I know when my boat is dailed in you 3 will see my transom. Oh and by the way I have a tatletale gps, a garmin 162 gps, and pat had a hand held gps. So yes I have acurate reading.
I guess I get the BS because i was trying to save some other some grief and agravation in prop testing and share my results, guess it was a mistake.
