Pat will dial it in tomorrow bud, you still have a 300 rpms to go, its obvious you are there. As far as the doubters goes, who cares, you are the only one you have to satisfy, who gives a **** what anyone else says, read between the lines you know what I'm talkin about

I know he will, I am not certian that many other boat companies, let alone the owners would spend as much time dialing in a boat for a customer.

As for reading between the lines, I guess I am illiterate because I do not understand? Send me an e-mail and please include hooked on phonics.

We are happy with the results of the 5 blade props. The next thing we are going to do is try some drive spacers. We are still at about a 14 percent slip so we think we need to get the drives into some cleaner water.

The rpms were right about 5400-5450, at the rev limiters with the 32 herings 5 bladers so we have the right props, and man do they hook up the boat.

I hear you Joe on the high x diimension but in working the number with the props, pitch, rpm and slip Pat thinks that the drives maybe set up too high and that is why we are getting too much slip. He has the formula and tried to explain it too me but again I got a thick skull.

This is my take on it...so here it goes

RPMs divided by gear ratio X prop size divided by 1056= 100% efficiency.

Figure the slip from there. High slip, high drives. Low slip, low drives.

YOU KNOW THE SAYING, TEST, TEST AND THEN TEST SOME MORE.

This is all so confusing...

I am very lucky that my boat builder, Pat, is doing all this testing for me. Gear ratio's, pitch props, x dimensions, drive spacers etc...

yep...actually if u graphed it out,,,you would find that the returns are VERY diminishing after a certain point on EVERY hull(anything that moves really)....unless you are flying around in a vacuum!

u gota be excited as all hell!!!

I sure am, very excited. As I said before I am the most interested in how well the boat handles at those speeds. In the areas that I boat in I will very rarely hit top speeds, but it is nice to know that we are getting everything we can out of the motors and the hull. We can then look at all of the data we collected and determine the best/ideal setup for the boat.
