Ft. Myers Offshore annual turkey weekend run, photos (101 of them)
This weekend I participated in the Ft. Myers Offshore (FMO) annual turkey day
weekend, run. "FMO is a not-for-profit coporation, dedicated to raising funds for
academic scholarships in SW Florida to help worthy individual graduating from high
school, continue their education at institutions of higher learning including college and
university as approved by the board of Directors". Additional information regarding
FMO can be found at "http://ftmyersoffshore.com/".
Thank you Bob and the entire FMO team, for another great day of hi-perf boating, and a
great destination. The food was great and plentiful, and the service was excellent.
For us, the day started extra early, due to the low tides. The total trip was 153 miles by
water, and I burned 68 gallons of 93 octane, that's an average of 2.250 MPG.
Here are a few picture, be sure to check them all out at the link below:

Wow, that was a great slideshow, Frank. Yes, Tarpon Point is a great destination for the club and they did a nice job hosting us. The pics you took on the property display it very well. Thank you.

Thanks Rick, always a pleasure to see you
Thanks again Bob, had a great time. We had 3 boats
traveling together back to Charlotte Harbor, Andy,s 43
Donzi, Gar's 33 Fountain, and us. When we made the turn
east in the harbor towards Burnt Store, it felt like we were
in a washing machine that had been tossed into a wind
tunnel. Crazy ride.

If you had been in my boat, you neck and back would still be sore. The gulf was a bit bumpy, and the ride home was crazy. See post #4.
Always good to see and talk with you.
