Too Old: I was not saying we get the finger because we are hot boaters, only that sometimes ANY boater may conduct themselves in a manner that is detrimental to a "class" of boater....ie: fast & offshore type boats. Bass boater are certainly NOT excluded from this!! Nor are the CRUISER type's (who probably are the worst at being negligent on the lakes). My point is that we just need to be courteous and give a wide birth to others if possible ( & it is not ALWAYS possible).

I agree with Gumbydammit in that there really are 2 types of boaters. I have noticed this seperation of classes allot lately in regards to motorcycles. I wave at everyone. My thought is that we are out enjoying similar things just that our machinery is a little different, be it a crotch rocket or a cruiser or Harley, offshore boat, bass boat or sailboat. Doesn't really matter what your on to me I wave at everyone. Same with boats. I use the blowboat nickname as just that a nickname, not as a derogatory meaning. It's unfortunate that so many people (and not just with boats) have become prejudice in there views of others likes and dislikes. Oh well what can you do except control your own actions.

Saw this last weekend on my lake, guy and his wife anchored by the shore sunning minding there own business, a couple with the wife driving blast by them about 5 feet of their stern in a brand new Mariah, the guy at anchor jumps up starts waving screaming and flipping the bird we see it we start signalling to this bimbo driving now she heads for us and passes us at 30mph about 3 feet from my bow, I follow and sure enough It's an a-hole I had a confrontation with on the local golf course for being an a-hole. this bonehead must have just come in to some cash taking up all the fashionable fades with no regard for the etiquitte of the
sport or rules of the road and when you talk to him or her it like their royalty, so when I see this guy again he's gonna get a putter or an anchor upside his head.

proves a-hole are a-holes no matter what they are doing!!!!!!!

Let me get this right...When someone puts up the finger, they're NOT says, " dude you're #1". I'm feeling bad right now. I thought all those folks were telling me I was # 1 .
