Right,The Pantera 41 ran 89.7 MPH with a pair of 525 Mercurys.

That's a lot of speed for that size powerboat with that small amount of power! 6's?

Do you know why the hull failed? Did the stringers fail? Was it laid up too light?

Yes and it had to meet the weight rule,10,000 + Pounds.

Light NO,As I understand I weighed like 10500 pounds and raced the next race ,placing a close second in that event behind a Buzzi Quad motor 50.

Glad they got it running again. Those steps are quite a bit larger as well.
