Mute point then. Would be like comparing a fountain with a full cabin to a fountain with a race layup.

At the end of the day I guess I'd be willing to sacrifice a few mph to keep the stringers attached.
Learn a little before looking stupid over a splashed Boat! FYI that Pantera was heaver than a Pleasure version much heaver and second you do not know about the damaged Outerlimits or the delaminated and sunk brand new Nortech that was built for a client in Belgium. they did get to save a 10' pc of deck B4 it went to the bottom. That Cowes race is Tough

I said I thought the speed was for the side by side pleasure boat. Geez. My mistake. I just figured a full cabin boat with a head, a v berth, and a back seat would be heavier than a race boat. I can't imagine I am the only "stupid" person that would think that way.

If you look back I have said in the past the I would love to have a 41' Pantera. Not knocking your work I simply thought a race boat was lighter than a full cabin/ full cockpit boat.

Learn something everyday I guess..

Baywatch there is a weight these boats had to make, in fact there were load cells on the drives to prevent any cheating 10500 # was the weight ,now that said a pleasure boat could be a 1000 or so pounds lighter without problem.

Tell us about the damaged outerlimits please. I used to enjoy your posts. Now i cant stand them. You're a talented individual, but again.... like most of the industry your ego brings you down. Congratulation checkmate on your new offering. Looks great.

For all you guys discussing the Pantera, let's get this thread back on track! This is about Checkmate's new 43' Punisher. If you have information directly pertaining to the performance and handling of the hull design that Checkmate is using, post away. If you want to talk Pantera, there is a place for Pantera's in the manufacturer's section.
