Default drive not raising

My trim pump just goes down and clicks when i push the up button. Any ideas

solenoid is bad there are two one for up and one for down

put some viagra in the oil res,it will go up,if it stays up more than 4 hrs,call a merc tech.

Also check you wires, loose connections and corrosion will do the same thing.

+1 I had that issue and didnt think to check the connections. Diving underwater at the dock in 56 degree temperatures and taking pieces off the outdrive to be able to manually tie it up and get it on the trailer is not fun at all!!!

Come on Guys. Really You can't jump a solenoid before You jump in cold water??? Love the viagra joke Mike tkach. You just have to love real boaters.

Sorry Im not a "real boater" like you! Just sharing my silly experience Hence the reason why I said to check connections also.

Next time take a quarter or screwdriver, key... and put it across the two large posts. The drive will go up and get you out of a jam.
