Long Island Craig's list 1980 23' CC Scorpion $7,945. looked real nice. Also Finger Lakes Craig's list 1985 CC Scorpion $6,999. both claim ready to go....almost at your price.

sounds like you are gonna find a runner that is too nice to be a beater. as soon as you finish the good boat, you are gonna hafta start rehabbing the beater. sucks, don't it?...

I picked up a beater 20-ft Chapparel a few years back. Real ugly. Had a brand new 350-Mag in it though and would do 60-mph. It was a scary speed in that boat and would chine-walk you into the next county. But damned was it fast. It was a great little sleeper. On;y had $4k into that boat. Great combo, but that hull was never designed for those speeds.
