I feel that is plenty of speed for your average boater............not to mention he had more left !

Funny, there's always more left. That's nice, I'd like to see the boat run...if the boat did it once, great, but I've heard not so good things about skater vees, and lets face it...Pete builds one hell of a bad ass cat, and has for a long time...the vee...eh...wouldnt be my first choice...
And think about what you just said, average boater and 143mph in the same sentence in a vee no less, there's nothing average about that at all...I'd certainly hope the AVERAGE boater isn't running 143...the average boater is in a sea ray or a boston whaler...just a thought...

All three of the guys you mention are at the top of the game. No need to get in a pissing match. However, a Skater 399 Vee with a single 525 will not run with the Watch Your Back Fountain or the 29 OL. On top of that, it would be a stupid build.
