I was wondering about how the boat felt at speed. Its funny you compared it to a Cig. Its another gun or this boat. I do miss the Cig but I'm getting older so I really like the 40ss. I live on the river so I don't think I would tow it much. But You never know I do love poker runs. Key West is a blast an this wouldn't do for that. Thanks Artie

When I bought the 400 I thought it would be a great all around boat, still had speed, full bathroom , comfortable to sleep on, trailerable,

When we went on poker runs we could take more people, when tying up we had all the comfort you can ask for, plus nothing like having your own ice maker on board, great stereo, just a fun boat.

At home it stays stocked so just walk down the dock and relax. Even great to just sleep on. Just the other night we had friends over for dinner and just decided to go for harbor cruise, made for great evening.

But I still missed the cig, even thou I towed the formula to some of the poker runs there were a few we didn't go to.
This year we will be going to a lot more, even hauling the cig out to the east coast, can't miss key west

So I guess what I'm saying is the best option is a cig and 400 it's the perfect setup

I have been looking at the 40SS, it's a great looking boat,
And you can do a lot with it. Just don't know if I will miss the speed?

Well another advantage of the 400, since it's parked in the back yard we went out to breakfast saturday and then decided to head down the coast, before we even got 500 ft i saw a whale breaching. of course we didn't have a video camera of that but did get this pic.
Since we didn't have alot of time sat we never would have taken the Cigarette out and would have missed this.

If you can afford it and got the room, a 400ss and a ZrComp, Gladiator or other compact go fast.
Best of both worlds.

I have one friend who has a 400ss and Gladiator and he has the best of both worlds.Time for each, that is a different story.

C-Spray and another friend of mine will probably own one soon because they are a good blend of speed and comfort.
In fact, my other friend who will remain nameless is selling a very fast cat and plans on doing the 400ss and ZrComp combo.

Interesting comments. I'm thinking 40 SS or Sunseeker Superhawk. And a 40 Skater so I won't miss the speed!
