Sad start for the season
Buddy of mine just told me about this. Happened just north of his river camp.

Sad to keep reading about these fatal boating accidents. Condolences and Prayers to the families and friends of those who died in this crash and for a speedy recovery to those who were injured. R.I.P.

Sounds like these boats are not the jon boat many think of.
They are often called plate boats and can be 20-30' long with a wide beam so 10 people would not be any different than a loaded 21' runabout.

A case of kids having fun on the river and the dangers in an uncontroled environment caught up for some.
Sad situation but we cant live our lives in a rubber room.
