Default Torrente and Qatar Team Resume Racing in Russia

Best of luck to American driver Shaun Torrente, who will represent the Qatar Team in the second round of the UIM F1 H2O World Championship this weekend in Russia...

Looks like they took a step backwards since Jay Price retired.

IMHO.....Jay Price was a good driver....Shaun is a great one.

Jay was right place, right time, right budget...which is all good and I respect that.

But.....

Shaun is a "natural" who can take his boat and beat you and then swap boats with you and beat you again.

Oh, and one more thing....neither of them is Bill Seebold.... The standard against which all others are measured. But, Shaun has a much better chance of getting into Billy's ball park.

What he said. This guy is legit.

If you haven't seen it, Shaun Torrente wrote a really nice first-person piece about his first season on the world stage for the summer issue of Sportboat.

And he has another fine quality: humility to spare.

Shaun is also a genuinely nice guy who loves to talk about boats. He comes to a lot of our screamandfly events and seems very down to earth. He and his wife are just really friendly people with a passion for boating.
I'm trying to get his skinny azz in my little tunnel boat to put up a number
