Thats a joke for a "29" foot boat. You cant go anywhere with 60 gallons.

My Lavey 2750 has a 100 gallon tank.

West Coast 21's come with 50's !

The Lavey 24 has an 80 gallon tank.

You said 27 not 29, and a 27 has a 60gal tank. I can go 100+mi on 60gal. Is what it is...

Actually I said the 27 has a 50 gallon tank and I was off by 10 gallons. That still quite small for a "27". I knew it had a pretty small tank.

My question was what does the 29 have?

Curious
When you say you can go 100+ miles
Is that in the Ocean against waves and currents or on a lake?

Ok 140 is more like it.
Question was answered after I posted- thanks RW
Lavey 29 hold 150.

Both. Have made several trips along the gulf coast just offshore and inland. I didn't say balls to the wall, but I've done it a few times.

That might work for full displacement trawlers but for planing boats at what speed or drive settings?

Not talking about a moving boat. Just a way to measure the wetted waterline length excluding swim platforms and bows.
Actually on plane at speed our type boats have what, 3 or 4 feet of hull contacting the water ?

My swim touches the water sitting still! LOL

Realy I think it is stupid that if your platform is bolted on you don't count it but it moulded you do.

Just measure transom to bow IMO.
